The Garden Room Restaurant

The Garden Room Restaurant

Here we offer a smart yet informal dining experience for those who enjoy freshly prepared contemporary cuisine taking full advantage of locally sourced ingredients and produce. Open each evening from 6pm until last orders at 9pm and on Sundays and Bank Holidays from 6pm until 8pm (reservations always advisable).

Our House Dinner Menu including Daily Specials is very flexible and offers you the opportunity to choose just a main course or to add starters, desserts and cheeses to suit your appetite and the occasion. A well planned Wine List is available too.

Open too of course for private parties and functions at other times and high-days and holidays such as Mothers’ Day. We have Special Seasonal Menus available throughout December.

“Great find ….perfect getaway location!”
5 of 5 stars

“Just returned from a midweek break….what an excellent find, lovely tranquil location with superb hospitality.

“…the food, customer service and focus are a real highlight and should be commended

“…the Chef must be congratulated for such high quality superbly cooked food and menu

“…the lamb shoulder was as good as we have tasted anywhere.

“…breakfast was also very enjoyable with plenty of variety, Marion was one of the nicest breakfast hosts we have ever met, nothing was too much trouble.

“…the rooms have been refurbished and I think … the commitment of Alan to further invest and further improve this establishment … will surely be no1 for the area soon….

“…we had a suite which was very nice with lovely views, cleanliness was to a high standard, plus lots of nice extras like tea / coffee and fresh delicious local milk.

“… lovely relaxing lounge overlooking splendid views

“… great bar area with cosy log fire

“… we took the dog, this is a really dog friendly Inn which made a change from some places that just tolerate your pets.

“I cant really say enough nice things other than we look forward to our return :-)”

“A little gem, relaxing and peaceful”

5 of 5 stars

“We stayed at the Mulberry Inn for two nights, travelling from London

“…what a haven of peace and quiet!

“…absolutely the perfect place to get away from city life.

“…the new owners have done wonders transforming it from a traditional country B&B into a contemporary retreat.

“…the staff are helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble.

“…the rooms are spacious and comfortable with nice little touches like proper milk in the mini bar, dressing gowns and slippers.

“…everything you would expect from a posh hotel but at a fraction of the price.

“…the breakfast is magnificent, with everything from fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal and toast to a full traditional breakfast, or you can opt for smoked salmon & eggs, or American style pancakes with blueberries and bacon.

“…we needed a long walk to work off breakfast! And there are plenty of options for walks (and it’s dog friendly, if your four legged friends want to come on holiday with you).

“…the bar is well stocked, with a beautiful real fire that warmed our cockles on a crisp February evening.

“…the dinner menu has something for everyone, I had the fish finger sandwich which was incredible, huge chunks of battered fish on french bread, with a side salad… very filling and good value for money.

“…I cannot recommend this place enough, and I have already booked to go back in March.”
